An animatic is a storyboard that's been properly edited/timed, and usually includes camera moves, voices and sound. Animatics also tend to have a higher drawing count than a rough board. The animatic is what you pass on to animators as their guide for full animation.

100% accurate

Yeah, my main thought is that if it IS possible, it's doable but uncommon, since Susie seems to hint at prejudices she's experienced her whole life. But certainly the anniversary stream showed that even in UT's universe, monster and human pairings were there...people WILL mix together!

Yeah, I imagine that it's an even bigger number than that (with not everyone watching Mettaton at that point) but there's only so much space under a mountain. Even if you triple that ratings number, considering monster variety, that's a dangerously closed system

Yeah, you could do so many neat designs! Fans certainly like to do 'em anyway. And heck, even if that wasn't how it worked, even Disney movie rules of having kids look like one of two different parents would be nice to see.

Yeah, that's another good point. The Underground's big and all, but it's not THAT big of a population.

That said, considering we DO know that monsters consider it very acceptable to couple with whoever they like, it WOULD be really nice to see some actual examples of kids from different monster parents. In the meanwhile, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence and all that. [4/4]

I know the comments probably aren't intended that way but every time I see them I get this serious eugenicist/queerphobic ick. [3/4]

Like, what a shrinking of imagination it would be to have this world with such a wide variety of creative and colorful monsters, with a wide range of sexualities and gender expression... only to then go "oh but you can ONLY have kids with someone who looks like you." [2/4]

Was originally planning to do this as a comic at first, but figured it'd work even better as an animatic! Also, here's the title card art without any text:
