Great feature! You can also block whole lists of right wing accounts. I have a few posted on my profile. Nice to block them proactively.

Some people have been using an import tool to bring over their old posts from other social networks. To avoid confusion caused by old timestamps, we’ve added a new visual tag to imported posts.

There are moderation lists that you can add to block these people en masse. I posted tow on my profile when I learned about them. I’m also blocking a lot of political content completely at the moment, but I understand you need to be able to see all of that.

These journalists should update their handles to the verified domains of their news organizations. I understand this is a new world, but I’m sure pretty soon a bad actor will create a similar profile to confuse people Sadly, I think that’s where we are now.
