I can well appreciate your opinion. However, I cannot feel the same. Whatever her political bent she deserves the same consideration that we give to any trans person. Moreover, as she's a respected member of the Heritage Foundation she has an opportunity to do our community more good than bad.

In a legal context, you are correct. But try to explain that to a child being bullied on a playground, a young gay man who's been tied to a barbed wire fence, or the family of an African-American man who's been lynched.
