We showed that chr4p loss in basal breast cancer is associated with disrupted mitochondrial respiratory function and reduced glycolytic capacity, suggesting metabolic rewiring. Increased reactive oxygen species and lipid peroxidation compromised antioxidant defense mechanisms.
