It's going to be a gorgeous day to be on a bike! Join us as we head to Ybor/downtown east of 275. We'll take some time to explore Palmetto Beach before grabbing coffee in Ybor. Ride will be 10-12 miles at 8-10mph, and riders are responsible for themselves.

This week's Easy Sunday Morning Ride will focus on getting downtown safely without using the often-busy Riverwalk. We'll stop at Ginger Beard Coffee in the Channel District. Ride will be 10-12 miles at 8-10mph. Hope to see you at Henry & Ola at 8:30am!

I’m so honored to be receiving WalkBikeTampa’s Golden Pedal Award for my Easy Sunday Morning Bike Rides. I started the rides to teach safe ways to bike in the urban core. We’ve since added new bikeways the city is adding or planning to the mix. Come celebrate with me Nov. 6th at Shuffle!

🚨Our first Easy Sunday Morning Ride with Florida fall weather will start LATER at 8:30am!🚨

I’ve been at home convalescing with Covid & wanted a light-hearted read. The Road to Tender Hearts was in my Kindle borrow pile, & I can’t recommend it enough. Zany yet moving.

We're doing a preview ride for World Car Free Day this Sunday by riding from Henry & Ola to Midtown. If you don't want to bike from the Heights, you can meet us downtown at Cass & the Riverwalk. This ride will be a few miles longer than normal, 12-13 miles at 8-10 MPH.

We're back! And we have exciting news: The mast arms are up for the new light at Ola & MLK that will make the Ola Ave Bikeway truly usable. We're going to check out the progress—join us!

Mark your calendars! Sept 20, I’m leading the Kidical Mass Ride again on World Car-Free Day. It was such a fun ride last year with lots of family participation. Can we double turnout this year?

Rounded out the ice cream tour last night with a quick trip to Milkjam Creamery. Shared a roasted strawberry and milkjam sugar cone. Both flavors were amazing.

Last stop on the bikes: MN Nice Cream. I did the classic vanilla-chocolate swirl with strawberries, gummy bears, and a chocolate-covered marshmallow (they added a candle for my birthday!) @bubbaprog.lol did another affogato with a cookie. We shall soldier on using the bus.

Stop 6: Fletcher’s. We tried wildberry sorbet and root beer. I love that each stop has its own unique flavors & specialities.

Cheating a bit taking the blue line to downtown so we can catch the NE ice cream shops before we have to return our bikes.
July 1, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Stop 5: Grand Ole Creamery for a horchata & strawberry cheesecake for @bubbaprog.lol and marshmallow man & black cherry for me. Very creamy. Marshmallow was super unique.

First stop today is Crema, where I got the twist of crema and strawberry. @bubbaprog.lol got the classic affogato. Soft serve is amazing, and the strawberry was top notch.

Took the B BRT to Nellie’s after dinner. They had my favorite ice cream of ALL TIME, blueberry waffle cone, which I paired with raspberry choc chip. @bubbaprog.lol did pistachio & espresso brownie white choc macadamia ice cream sandwich. Perfect end to Day 1 of Twin Cities ice cream tour.

looping the lakes this afternoon; knocked Sebastian Joe’s Kingfield off the list—a shrine of neighborhood involvement! Tried Nicolette Ave pothole just for the name, plus raspberry chocolate chip. All incredibly yummy, but danish nut roll was clear winner. Only negative was no bike racks!
June 30, 2025 at 10:26 PM
We started early with La Michoacana. I had a dragonfruit scoop in a sugar cone & @bubbaprog.lol got soursop and pickle in a waffle bowl. Pickle ice cream was interesting. Pretty yummy.

Tampeños: Come ride the Riverwalk loop with me this Sunday (yes, there is a loop!) We'll see where other bikeway connections are & stop in Channelside for coffee, so bring a lock.

Happy first full weekend of Pride! We always put up our Pride flag for LGBTQ+ events (our celebration & parade is in March because June in FL=muggy & hot!) This year, @bubbaprog.lol had a flag made that superimposes the City of Tampa flag on top & it is GLORIOUS!
