I laminate constantly— every chance I get. And that’s why working at a museum is better than 89% of jobs

Yes— that’s how it begins! Wait until you find out that the wire rope for the Golden Gate Bridge was made in a weird little company town owned/operated by the Roebling family

That sounds spot on to me! I gave up scouring every clothing website and now I’ve been going to thrift stores to recapture the knee length a-line dresses of my dreams 👗 I also noticed that now I have to search “mini dress” for knee length. This has to be gender backlash!

I completely agree. And I think about it all the time. Why can’t I have a kneeish length dress that I can wear to work? Extra points for natural fibers

I’ve got to get some of this for Roebling Museum! Where do I need to go to get it? Kentucky?

State and local funding opportunities (except not humanities councils 😥). Not many of them in my neck of the woods support independent scholars, just orgs.

Wow! I’m willing this information to stay in my head!

I heard that the new National Public Housing Museum allows people to touch everything in their recreated historic apartments but no adults do it. They might need to put out some magic gloves too 🤣

Wow, I would have gone to that if I had know about it. Maybe I’ll check out the next one. Was it worthwhile?
