Day 1 of driving across country complete. Made it from Vegas to Denver. The mountains are so beautiful, but super glad there is no snow.

As a child I was told to tell the truth and admit when I was wrong and take responsibility. No company or anyone acting as a representative of a company has ever admitted they are wrong or ever willingly taken responsibility to me.

If you post on LinkedIn about how amazing your company is to allow you to take PTO (something I assume is negotiated during your hiring), I am going to assume the post is made under duress.

Last day of winter break, tomorrow back to a normal weekend. Per the norm of my life, I got the sniffles on Dec 23 and am only finally feeling better today. Biology apparently hates me to take a vacation.

One of my favorite holiday traditions is watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and listening to my husband get furious at how the misfit toys are treated by Santa and the elves... "You fucking made them that way! Take some god damn responsibility!"

Amazon needs to either start paying their delivery people more so they give a single shit about the care they give for my packages OR maybe stop sending fragile things wrapped in plastic bags.

I have a terrible habit of watching TV shows until the last three episodes and then just stopping. Sometimes, it is because I don't want the show to end, but most of the time, it is because the show ended up sucking and finishing it is a chore. I just finished Sweet Tooth next to Mr Belvedere.

Just had to brave the world for cherry preserves in preparation for Thursday. Someone with a clear Karen vibe tried to start a conversation with me in line to complain about how there were too many people in the store. I guess it is time to go back to some more crazy hair colors as my shield.

Kicking off the holiday season with making smoked beef for beef stew, donated all the things I no longer use and preparing my list of all the black Fridays deals I need to watch for (literally shampoo and a chest freezer) ... This is 40.

I am finding myself getting more and more easily distracted these days. I am leaning on some of my old tricks, like the Pomorodo Technique, to try and get myself focused. I am finding that the "breaks" end up feeling more restful.
