I went to the library earlier and found a collection of works that had some of Yi Sang's poetry. I've already read a few of him poems before that I could find online, but this one is my favourite of the translated work I read today.

You will sometimes see me to refer to Don with "He/Him" and it's just because I believe Don uses She/He pronouns

To add on to this because I'm now more lucid: it's in moments of extreme sadness when Don is overwhelmed when this break in character comes out. We see it in with the family being separated for a brief moment before Don O.O.F's the guard and we see if in Canto 5 when Don is faced—
I love how much Don is definitely playing up herself. It's so clear from earlier cantos, I'm really thinking about 3, that she is just exaggerating herself to make people latch on to her. You can really see this canto 5 where she is kind of grasping at things to say because she hates what's going on
