seems ridiculous with the amount of money that players are paid now that these requests like Dennis' aren't being treated seriously, even if it is in the 2017 CBA per @markdeeks.bsky.social

There's runway for a party to contend with Dems in deep blue areas, especially ones with jungle primaries

you mean picking people based on how mean they are to perceived centrists/libs isn't a winning metric?

those sweaty capitalists have a scale that a city-run store is unlikely to have, without tax breaks, favorable rent or paying their people less I don't see how they price lower. To your point it's an insanely low margin industry. And again my main issue is I don't trust them as merchandisers

We will see, IDK Atl city gov't but based on how NYC gov't services are provided (ironically highlighted by Zohran with his halal cart ad!) it'll be a disaster unless it lets its management run the stores for profit not as an everything bagel of policies

Surprised it took this long, we are in for a long few years when it comes to vaccine access. Hope that other countries step up to fill the gap.

Noah Smith was so right when he called macro the predator of foolish regimes. Splinter can call housing shortages & egg shortages a conspiracy or it could rightfully put pressure on how we increase supply. Living life like its a zero sum game is sad & doesn't give humans enough credit for innovation

I think part of the issue and I speak as a fairly partisan person, is that most things Rs want require 50 Senators, a House Majority and a compliant SCOTUS. Most things Dems want require 60 S's and the other two listed. With the filibuster, the Senate has disarmed itself from helping gov't reform

TBH I don't this is what everyone in tech has always been. I think they were radicalized by Lina Khan targeting most of the big companies and their monopolistic behavior.
