However, to illustrate a very obvious point — at Amyl & The Sniffers, Melbourne, Myer Music Bowl 24-1-25, and Violent Soho, Brisbane, 1-5-21, EVERYONE in the audience is making movies without even thinking about the technical details.

Band photography in the 60s-70s was very hard. I tried really hard to film some bands using Super-8mm movies. That’s me, below, in 1974, trying to edit something watchable after shooting some bands. Only a very few people took photos or movies at gigs.

I've been digitising old negatives from 70s & 80s I haven’t looked at for 40 years. In the 1980s, I got pretty handy with a compressor & paint spray gun - & made marching banners for demonstrations. I don’t have many photos of all the banners I made, but recently found these polaroids.

I’ve been getting into rum lately. Just treated myself to a bottle of (on sale at Nicks) Santa Teresa 1796. A 227-year-old family-owned rum distillery in Venezuela. Trying it tonight.
