👍. Sorry just saw a lot of others in replies saying a 1% increase in NIC.
The 10% was a specific example whereas £15k is an average figure for the entire industry I believe? Not sure what this specific nursery charges & what other cost increases they are facing. I see your point though.

I was just saying that their NIC costs aren’t going up by 1.2%, they’re going up by 8.9%. 👍

A 1.2pp increase in the overall rate is an 8.9% increase in what they pay in NIC now vs what they paid before, (1.2/13.8). It’s 1.2pp of the 13.8% not of 100%.
Not trying to be a know-it-all!, just explaining that I don’t think nurseries are making up their numbers & it roughly equates to the 10%.
