That’s not the experience I want in my home theater room & has its own limitations too. With so many hardware companies out of the player market we have diminishing choices though. 😕

I agree with you, despite the years we don’t have perfected players for 4K content. 😑 I’ve seen suggestions that the root is often layer changes on 4K discs. 🤷🏼‍♂️ that at least sort of makes sense - my problems usually manifest at 1hr+ lately I see ppl suggesting using ps5. 3/4

Often requiring a restart of the player to pick up near where I was. It’s infuriating imo. I’ve spent many hours poring over solutions & suggestions in forums & on Reddit. Mostly people suggest that Panasonic 820 or suggest media problems. The former seems logical, latter is ridiculous imo. 2/4

I have always had Sony players (since 4K introduction, at least). My UBP—X800 has the Rattlebyte region select hack for DVD/BD. My other house has a non-hacked Sony X800M2. Both have issues on 4K discs sometimes. It shows as a glitch on discs including brand new clean media. 1/4
