I, personally, don’t love having to engage with strangers but I’ve gotten used to it after 4 years of having this extremely social dog.
And, now, I’m getting a second one…

My dog gets a lot of attention on walks now. People don’t often see Pekingese pups, generally, and especially ones with really nice coats like his.
So many people stop to talk to him, take photos, snuggle, etc. Sometimes he just walks up to people to say hi.

The rest of this week is going to be rough, sleep wise.
No sleep last night, late to bed tonight, red eye back to Chicago on the 2nd. Picking up my puppy on the 4th and dog sitting starting on the 5th.
This all seemed like a good idea when I was scheduling each thing individually.

My sister moved the doggie gate from the bottom of the steps to the landing and now, obviously, he thinks he no longer knows how to get through so he needs me to come carry him up the stairs.

My child (dog) woke me up at 3 am. Now, 2 hours later, he’s snoring away and I’m watching Columbo, begging for sleep to come.
