Poem or CNF?
The Morning Dick Cheney Died I suddenly remember college campus, protesting the bastards so I don’t feel hopeless, powerless, even though I am, my upstart, white trash, shouldn’t-even-be-here-in-the-first-place ass. Together, we students chant this is what a feminist looks like and usa, usa, usa. The latter really pissed them off, I’m happy to say. And here we are twenty years later and I’m sad that I never got to beat Dick Cheney to death with a five iron. I’ve never been a violent person and I don’t own a five iron but I would buy one for him. Millions dead at his hand and not even a single consequence. Death beat me to it. We were both about 84 years too late. He definitely didn’t deserve to die comfortably at an old age. So I wish I had beaten Dick Cheney to death with a five iron and I have nowhere to put all this longing.

I am a house on fire, a pillar of smoke trailing toward heaven, a black cloud hanging over your head, white noise as you sleep, wallpaper peeling up around the edges, a seedling bursting through the dirt, a secret hidden in the files, the search engine that spills the beans that clack on the countertop, the thin lines of cocaine that I can already taste in the back of my throat, the intoxication of bitterness that keeps you up at night, a crack of lightning in the dark of the storm, a raven squawking for more trinkets, clawing at the dirt.

Just Me and My Microplastics
When your government wants you dead, what can you do but disappear into a bog and say “preserve me, bog” and wait for a time when everyone genders as hard as you do, when mascs and femmes do it for the love of the game instead of conforming to the identities assigned at birth, when boys are flowers and girls are mud pies, and it’s legal to exist in the liminal, infinite life in infinite diversity as the man himself would say, wake me when the gay luxury space communism hits, the doc pulling my microplastics out one by one. Fascinating.
