With the growing global interest in Korean culture, I've been wrestling with a sense of bitterness for my alienated younger self. This post put into feelings what's been gnawing at me for the last several years.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t be at this year’s @bntsoc.bsky.social in person, with such a great line up of papers, many representing important interventions and disruptions in the field. This week is my first in post @durham-university.bsky.social @durhamtheology.bsky.social and I have to be in Durham
Session 1 will feature Lydia Lee on  ‘Not an Echo but a Reverb: Transformative Dynamics within Aesthetic Figural Interpretation’ and Session 2 will feature Aminta Arrington on ‘The Foreigner Who Returned: Narrative Repair and Counterstory in the Healing of the Ten Lepers’.

Extremely interesting exhibition at the Getty. I have to go before August 10th... but also it's an hour drive to get there.. through LA... UGHH but it's so worth it...
A crash course in the many signs and symbols hidden in medieval texts.

In a new exhibition "Symbols & Signs: Decoding Medieval Manuscripts" you'll find intricately interwoven letters, puzzling monograms, cryptic symbols, and more now on view through August 10, 2025 at the Getty Center.

Today 38 Italian illuminated manuscript leaves join Getty's collection.

The leaves—largely from Christian choir books depicting religious scenes—were made between the 12th and 17th centuries. These works will be fully accessible to students and scholars very soon. gty.art/4ln2AgB

The LA wildfires are insane and something out of John's apocalypse. My sister is on alert for evacuation and Fuller Seminary is quite close to the Eaton fires. Please keep everyone in your prayers. These fires are no joke

Saddened to hear the passing of Richard B. Hays, a great theologian. He's touched so many lives (including me). As my thesis heavily utilizes his work, I grew to appreciate what he has done for the theological landscape and for the church. RIP Dr. Hays, you'll be greatly missed but not forgotten

What is art? And who decides what is 'important' art? I've been a fan of MOBA since 2015, but was looking around last night during a random bout of insomnia. Love everything, but particularly the "Oozing My Religion" collection.

Hi friends, as we are new to this platform, we need to rebuild our network from the other place. Could y'all help us out a bit? A little bit of crowd sourcing can go a long way! Do share our profile with those in your networks who you think might be interested the Divine work we do here in Aberdeen!
