A lot of other writing advice was for tightly plotting things and never ever EVER having an extra word, kill your darlings etc—but an outlining method for writing tv lets me write stories that have breathing room, which is what I *want* to read but struggle to write!

I will check out the outline one! That sounds very useful. I'm trying to get better at outlines. (I also needed the kill your darlings reminder today, thank you lol)

I love that as a goal, actually, because you're right - once you get going it's usually more. But on those days when you're busy, 100 words is easy to get, even in a text to yourself.
