A beautiful Beltane/ Calan Mai to all you beautiful people. I'm spending my day hiding from the angry fireball in the sky, and cracking out my cricut for the first time in about a year to prep for the art exhibition this weekend. It's bittersweet, since it has now been a year of my back pain. #art

I ventured across the border today to meet up with my friends and eat pizza. I also visited a stationery shop and treated myself to a new art supply I have never tried before. I'm hoping this will bring some playfulness to my creative process.

Today's child-like joy: drinking tea in the snow. Because my bench is under some trees I kept getting snow dumped on my head, my knees, in my shoes and mostly in my tea. I wish I could go for a nature walk but I have no painkillers until next Friday, so I will have to do what I can #Wales #snow #tea

Proof that sometimes I can make art just for fun. English bluebells are my favourite flower and are the focus of much folklore of magic and the Fae Folk. Yes I used sparkle paint to add some childlike joy into the process. It isn't perfect, but that was the whole point of the exercise.

I finally managed to go for a nature walk with my mum today. I still had a small amount of pain, but not enough to impact the walk. The autumn colours were stunning, and we found some mega lichens and a cluster of mushroom friends. It felt so good to be slowly getting back to my normal life.
