Apparently immigrants were all gang members causing all the crime, then they were taking all the jobs, and now they’re buying all the houses. I gotta say, those guys really get around. 🤣

Gotta admit the judgement there is a little iffy tho…. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I get that people like it, but that’s only one of the myriad things about the series that just has me “checked out” of the main line franchise. I just… can’t… anymore.

Episode IX assaulted my sensibilities. The Emperor builds a fleet in secret—inside a gravity well, with no infrastructure, in an ionosphere that scrambles shields and sensors. All to set up a cavalry charge across a Star Destroyer on animal mounts. Because JJ thought it would look cool. 🤦🏻‍♂️ 😩

Yeah, it’s all disgusting. But, I really don’t think Boies is a bad guy here. He and his firm have been out front in representing Epstein’s victims, giving them the premier legal representation that they deserve.

Was VG bullied? I dunno. I do know there was no love lost between Boies and Douchowitz. So, the settlement probably had more to do with being able to move forward with other cases than get spun-out over one of the weaker claims. 🤷🏻‍♂️
November 15, 2025 at 9:04 PM
Boies was representing VG, and he was feuding with Douchowitz. They had mutual defamation lawsuits against each other that were going to go to court, and it seems like VG’s case would have been hard to prosecute. So, VG’s claims were walked back in a mutual settlement. The two were NOT friends.

And then saying “go fuck yourselves” AGAIN when they try to impeach over the use of saucy language. 🤣

When you’re finished, I’ll tell you what I thought the dumbest thing I ever saw in a Star Wars movie was… 😆
November 15, 2025 at 5:59 PM
Ugh. IMO, everyone gets to watch it once without scorn. I will say this: after it ends, you will say to yourself “that was the silliest plot line in a Star Wars movie. Like, EVER.” The Force Awakens wasn’t actually awful, really, because it was basically a clone of episode 4. But after that… ugh.

It feels weird, but I was 12 when the 2600 came out. It was MAGICAL. There were no hand calculators in school, but by my senior year, all the nerds had a programmable scientific from HP (HP-41C). I thought THAT was astonishing. 🤣 I remember the world before digital and where we are now is amazing.

Oh, my sweet summer children… 😆

I was skeptical of consoles (as a PC guy), but original XBox really made a believer out of me. I remember playing through KotOR on it 5 times, it was so good. No game has grabbed me so thoroughly before or since. Have really fond feelings about the original Xbox. And the Atari 2600 for that matter.
November 15, 2025 at 5:12 PM
If it did, I never saw it. Froze up once or twice, but it was remarkably solid. The 360 was worse… they had the RRoD… red ring of death… 😅

Let’s also get real about something here. The discharge petition for the House vote only means that the legislation gets to go to the Senate, where it will die. Because the Senate is controlled by Republicans. Senators will have to go on record voting it down. Take that anger to the ballot box.

This is what it looks like to be ruled by lunk-heads.
November 15, 2025 at 4:01 PM
I’m surprised he didn’t say “we’ll have some news on that in two weeks.”
November 15, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Yup. Seconded. And everyone that broke laws must be punished swiftly. Expand the Supreme Court so that they can’t toss out judgements. No more Merrick Garlands who happily wait until all of the political will to exact justice dissipates under the withering fire of right wing lies and propaganda.

Trumpism. It’s a cult malady that makes 1/3 of the population willing to loudly defend the indefensible if the leader does it. Mind you, only the leader gets to do it. For everyone else, it’s still sick and depraved. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And they can’t enumerate any of them.

I think the first order of business of any new Democratic government has to be the revocation of any statutes of limitations on any federal crimes due to the magnitude of the destruction at hand. There’s just no way you could prosecute all of that crime with only the resources on hand.
