That is good, I do not have a lot of experience with leatherworking but I believe mink oil or wax could be used fore water resistance not immunity. I bypass that stuff by making shinnies for people. Sorru for the spam there, thought it was making separate threads. New to this app.

Yeah, leather is not good with water. Anodized aluminum handcrafter collars can hold up to the water though. Just not any that mix anodized aluminum and rubber rings.
