I read it in Aug'25, and what adds to the pessimism is the thought that it may take 3-5 generations to recover from the legacies of Trump, Putin, Musk, and Bezos in terms of int'l cooperation, trust, and self-aggrandizement. Would you trust them to share the air or pay for radiation research?

I have "The Heat Will Kill You First" on the bookshelf and just after two years it feels like it should be the annually-updated successor to the "State of the World" series that ended in 2017

Knowing a bit about both Denmark and Ireland, I find this particularly hard to understand. Denmark will have to give up more scarce, expensive and previously cultivated farm land to achieve this goal - Ireland could do so by stopping overgrazing and compensating farmers based on profit margins

Prompting and other techniques can possibly alter future result without retraining the whole model, so some error correction is happening. Blueberry now has 2 instead of 3 b's but ask if ChatGPT remembers the mistake 🤔
