Mr Thistlewick has finally decided on the colours for his outfit and is eagerly awaiting the day he can move into his cosy new toadstool house. I’d better crack on & finish it for him! Luckily, at just 25mm tall, he fits perfectly through the door I made for him!

Meet Thistlewick, a lively little gnome getting ready to move into his new toadstool house. Sculpted from air-drying clay with delicate polymer clay hands (see my finger for scale!), he’s still deciding on the colours for his coat and hat—something that will capture his adventurous spirit.

Always nice to know people enjoy my models! Received some lovely feedback on eBay today for one of my animated, weathered oil drum fires for OO/009 model railways.

Wow! I've just noticed my eBay store has earned Top-Rated Seller status: 'One of eBay's most reputable sellers, consistently delivers outstanding customer service.'

This wouldn’t be possible without your incredible support and feedback—it truly means the world to me. Thank you so much! 💖

My go-to book for gnomes, The Secret Book of Gnomes by Rien Poortvliet and Wil Huygen. I believe it’s also available in English. Rien’s illustrations are a delight—if you enjoy Cicely Mary Barker's fairies and are looking for something about gnomes, you'll enjoy this.

Just made these up for my etsy store. £10 for the three, made, painted and flocked on 40mm and 60mm bases.

A mushroom from my garden, hiding amongst the ivy under an aple tree, you can almost see the fairies playing around it.

It's a parasol mushroom, like the other I posted a while back.

Not happy with either the composition or focus. The lighting wasn't great either, left it too late in the day.

I enjoy painting tiny creatures, such as dogs, foxes, and these pigeons, and although it's slow and painstaking work, I feel they bring something special to the model railway scenes and dioramas I create, often helping to tell the stories at their heart.

From a while back, making the window for a tiny house from scratch. Originally, this was intended a fantasy fairy mushroom house but I went for a more natural look for that and this ended up in a witch's cottage.
