Congress is returning from recess with plans to slash billions of dollars from our country’s budget. This includes cuts to Medicaid. Call your Rep. & tell them cuts cannot be made to Medicaid without hurting children, seniors, people with disabilities, and the stability of the health care system.

On Mon., the Wake County Board of Commissioners issued a 2025 Wake County Proclamation that March 2025 is Women’s History Month and presented it to the League of Women Voters of Wake County. Many of the recipients wore white in recognition of Suffragists who, in 1920, founded LWVUS, LWVNC & LWV-Wake

Yesterday, The Women’s Rights Committee held our March Timely Topics event: "Current Status of the ERA." The wonderful guest panelists discussed the importance of adding this to the constitution of the state of NC, the current status here and nationally, and how to advocate for its passage.
