A group of North Carolinians, along with a coalition of nonpartisan voting and civil rights organizations that includes the League, are seeking to intervene in a federal lawsuit that wrongly challenges the eligibility of more than 200,000 voters.

A federal trial against gerrymandering has begun in federal court in Winston-Salem.

LWVNC Pres. Rubin spoke at a press conference.

🧵House Bill 127 is scheduled to be heard on Tuesday, June 3 at the General Assembly. It would make it a Class 2 Misdemeanor, possibly resulting in a jail sentence of up to 60 days, for people who are helping register voters using the official voter registration form.
