A very late blooming rose in my freezing cold garden this afternoon (Fife, Scotland). Enjoying it while I can!
On a cold November afternoon against a pale blue, fading to pink sunset, a late blooming cream rose and a rose bud reach for the sky.

Since our young nut trees have started producing, have seen Red Squirrels occasionally in the garden. This year, even more so (nut trees now stripped bare). I decided to put up a feeder. This morning, the first observed visit So exciting!
Three birch trees in a group, stand close to a stone dyke in the pale early morning light, just visible on the trunk of the centre tree is a Red Squirrel eating at a squirrel feeder. The characteristic long ear tufts can be seen against the pale pink-blue sky.
