There are lots of circumstances where I have no moral qualms about copyright infringement. Copying for no other reason than "I really want to read the thing but I don't want to give that author money" isn't one of them.

You want to read for no better reason than personal enjoyment, do it right.

Another excellent option is @jordanshiveley.bsky.social's voidmerch.threadless.com store, which has, among many awesome options (including the Dracula Fuck Mansion), a t-shirt especially for the Frankenstein fangirls among us.

...I hope that's not why you think Anthony Albanese is PM?
Compulsory voting has benefits - elections are scheduled for when people can attend, voting places are easy to get to, and a serious effort is made to make sure everyone can vote. It means our politics is more boring, which I like.

Agree that design that supports story is key. As a LARPer I'm preferring rules-light, but I still want some kind of RNG factor. I also like a way for PCs to push their luck when it matters.
My play groups are more interested in story, so mechanics need to be the minimum to support the game.

I was part of a game that used One Quiet Year as a shared world-building exercise. I've gone on to use a variant to build out my Spelljammer world - I highly recommend spending that time with players at the start of a campaign. Draw out what they want - and get a bunch of free ideas!
