However, I value audiobooks, and when they are read with great talent, you can put yourself into the story. One of my favorites is Sideways Stories from Wayside School. The voice actors were fabulous and we were rolling with laughter. It made an eight-hour car trip with two kids much more fun.

It’s all about balance.
As a teacher of elementary students who had to take a reading test at the end of every year, I required them to read more without audio to strengthen their reading skills.
