Brewers fan here. After reading the Mets top 10, are we getting roughly another Caleb Durbin and DL Hall?

I found the fail note on Luis Pena interesting. Seems like a high ranking for someone who needs to "max out" across his tools to hit the relatively uninspiring bar of being a regular. Is he up that high mostly because of the age/probability intersection?

Could be 4th ever "more WAR wins than pitching wins" season

I noticed that 4/5 wins for them have been home games on getaway day. Not sure if that means anything but I thought it was interesting considering how teams typically feel drained after Colorado trips

I see Peña hasn't played since Friday. Do you know if he's dealing with something? I get that there's lots of infield playing time to be spread around down there

These have been fun to use this morning! One very strange thing I noticed was Teoscar Hernandez has the wrong number of runs on his page (8 vs 12 elsewhere). Thought I'd point that out in case that affects anything else

Just scrolled enough to see your full thread on the other side. Cool breakdown!

Isn't one of Pete's points also a Williams vs other pitchers thing? Like the "window" of a typical pitcher's ball->outside look is actually Devin's called strike initial trajectory. And a typical pitcher's called strike is actually Devin's ball->inside because of his horizontal movement profile

Okay, cool! I was wondering if a big change (5-10 ft) might be a way to boost the specific types of offense people usually clamor for (soft contact, stolen bases, station-to-station, etc.) without also boosting HR. Infield plays "in", more room for bloop liners to drop. That kind of thing

Can we get the infield to play in a bit more by shortening the base paths some?

I don’t have links, but post election polling asking what was your #1 issue = inflation would probably build a decent case

An idea that I haven’t seen discussed is what about making the basepaths shorter?

Would be a boost to 1B, 2B, 3B and SB without boosting HR that Russell is looking for. Don’t have to reconstruct every ball park. We already play other levels of baseball on shorter bases
