From today, the Living Wage of $28.95 officially comes into effect!
That means over 55,000 workers employed by accredited Living Wage Employers across Aotearoa - and their regular contracted service providers - will now earn at least $28.95 an hour.

On Monday 1 Sept, the Living Wage rate 2025-26 comes into effect. This means more than 55,000 workers across Aotearoa will get a pay rise.

Paying the Living Wage rate is voluntary. Employers who pay the Living Wage want to make sure their workers get enough money to live with dignity.
