Why they changed it, I can’t say.

Can you just turn on the fan without either heating or cooling? Should draw in outside air at some rate, right?

I read it about 30 years ago and loved it. And I started re-reading it a few days ago. Looking forward to being drawn in and deeply impressed all over again.

I said to my friends, “If the country were not collapsing, this would be a lot of fun!”

And here we have a hint of what will happen to the 2026 midterms.

Gotta read my comments bottom to top, maybe. The lecture series link is first.

I think the reason they didn’t write down founding years is that they were culturally uninterested in documenting conquests or focusing on that kind of achievement.

I can’t remember names of cities, but the author of the lectures got information from tribes that have managed to preserve their own history and artifacts from their pre-Columbian history, despite White people’s best effort to ignore it all.

It was kind of dry, but I was shocked to learn how advanced they were before colonists destroyed their civilizations, killed off their food supply, murdered so many of them, and sequestered the survivors on reservations.

I listened to a series of lectures about Native American history, and I think this is it, but I’m not 100% sure: www.thegreatcourses.com/courses/nati....

The problem is that most of us were only taught White people’s history. Our culture erased the fact that the original inhabitants of North America had vast trade networks and large cities. That is “in history.”

But they will just get away with no consequences, as they do with everything else…. 😖
March 26, 2025 at 3:46 PM
I love your posts, but this one is misleading and a little offensive. Those are cities founded by White people. Long before invaders came from Europe, Native Americans established cities even larger than many of those on your map (some had more than 100,000 people). Please edit your map accordingly.

I don't want to let them get away with it, but what exactly should I do about it?

The play button on that image is right under EM’s nose, like a Hitler ‘stache.

Good news for foreign terrorists.

Oops, not sure how four copies got attached, and I can’t figure out how to edit on Bluesky yet.

I think Denmark looks like the tin man from Wizard of Oz bending slightly to offer treats to some kind of small pet. i.pinimg.com/736x/88/60/6...

He thinks that the risk of a bad bear market is low with this CR in effect? And that pleasing his donors is more important than fighting the coup? 🤮

And, in turn, a yes to the madness of this administration. I don’t understand what Schumer is thinking.
