If they aren’t identifying themselves- how does the journalist or anyone else know they are “ice officers”?

Walmart depends on Medicaid as it’s insurance for employees. The market does not support everyone having insurance- there is no incentive or “responsibility” employers are expected to have to offer insurance. Making this a personal responsibility is gross. It’s not possible for so many.

Perhaps the only qualification I thought he had was knowledge of pop culture. I guess he’s not even competent there.

It’s clear that a level of cowardice is a requirement for these raids. Maybe that needs to be said out loud. Cowards cover their faces and pretend to be tough. Cowards take medicine from children. These are not tough, moral people- they are cruel, they are cowards.

My dad could remember when the rivers around NYC were filthy- and the difference that the environmental policies made. He was far from an environmentalist. I think it’s lived experience that gives context. You can’t write off things totally when you’ve seen life without them.
