After working a good part of the am and doing some self care, I have relieved the DH of being upstairs cat's furniture and now I'm relaxing as upstairs cat's furniture with a snack and tv.

What the heck? We've been putting out peanuts for the blue jays and sometimes crows every morning for yrs. This AM I'm seeing so many crows and look on the camera. There is a huge flock that fly over every AM and then back again in the PM. But they never stop by us in this amount.

Still having more than usual hummingbirds coming. All feeders have only 4 food openings. I've been having 5-8 hummingbirds on these feeders. I watched them and they take turns. Usually they are just pushing others away. So interesting.

This blackbird just sat on my hood staring at me for a while and would not leave. I was at a gas/rest stop not far from OR border. I finally got out to get it to move since I couldn't stay there all day.

1 of our cats has been running back and forth by the windows facing the deck. I looked on the camera to see what's out there and panned it. This hanging cat figurine looked so creepy today. The 1st set of kittens we rescued 1 died and we buried it in the garden below. We put this above to remember.

Today's weather per the app- and today's weather per reality. There was no mention of rain. I almost watered the garden yesterday but decided to do today. Saved myself some work.

Kitten update: we were finally able to catch them all yest afternoon during their evening meal. They freaked of course. But the trap we got worked amazingly well. We got them to the rescue right after. I feel a bit sad. We got attached. But they will get into good homes. Here they are in the car.

Today's wifi deck thermometer on the left showing 38% chance of rain? On the right the actual weather. I mainly use that deck one to keep track of how hot the hummingbird feeder food might be getting so I know when to use ice packs.

Kittens: we have introduced the cage. We put it out yesterday. The door remote isn't working so we have to call the company. But 2 kittens went in it last night just checking it out. The most skittish one even. Today we will start putting some dry kitten food in there. We are still only feeding wet.

Oh interesting. Maybe they are doing it differently now. On both my hands the cut was from the wrist to the palm. Yours looks good. You're gonna feel a lot better. My old scar.

The level of trust we've gotten to in the last 2 days with the kittens. They will now come on the deck for food. The brown one will get very close to me while waiting. Today will get the trap out there and get them used to eating in it. It's huge and has a remote for the door. I wish I could pet.

Kitten update- this set of kittens was older when we discovered. But we've been feeding daily 2x and they've started hanging around our place most of the time now. We finally got the trap but have to figure how it works. Still trying to gain their trust. Rescue lady is ready to take when we get.

Yep. They run up the stairs chasing, hop on the banister then the tower and back down again. This is the one they are mostly on though.

We have this one in which they jump from the stair banister to it and back when they get farfig. They also like to hide in the bottom and hang out at top.
