Yesterday, I met a US Supreme Court Justice for the first time — Justice David Souter.

It’s not even noon yet, and it’s already the best birthday ever. (Picture from last night. )

Today, New Hampshire State Representative Luz Bay was a special guest at the Flag Raising Ceremony at Fort Sumter — the place where the Civil War started.

Here’s a video of me raising the flag all the way to the top, then lowering it in honor of President Jimmy Carter.

I have just been sworn in as a Member of the 169th Session of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. This will be my second term as a New Hampshire State Representative.

It’s been a few weeks. I’m still very proud to have been on the same ballot as her.

It’s bound to happen, and it did Thanksgiving morning: My husband brings me coffee in bed every morning. I take sips until the caffeine takes effect. I fell asleep and woke up as I dumped a full cup of coffee on my nether area. Don’t worry, coffee was already cold by then.

When the children were little, my husband did all the cooking for Thanksgiving. My only task was to get the children dressed for the day. One Thanksgiving, they dressed themselves before I woke up. This photo was from that day. I stopped dressing the children for Thanksgiving. They are now 23 and 20

We don’t agree on pies for Thanksgiving. So, each one of us gets their own pie.

I “ran” the inaugural EveryWoman’sMarathon. It is hardly my first marathon, but it’s the first one for which I did absolutely no training. I was upright when I finished —no injuries. But still, I don’t recommend it. And I met the great Katherine Switzer at the start and at the finish.
