I did a value study of one of the Revolutionary War paintings (The Surrender of Lord Cornwallis, John Trumbull)

It's actually a super cool exercise. If you grayscale an image and blur it, then paint the low valued areas, you get something like this

I caught these beautiful #clouds in #albuquerque, #new_mexico! I think the most beautiful part of the spring are the clouds. Gorgeous layers upon layers of gold and white, contrasted with a fresh, deep, oceanic blue.
