Thanks! I really appreciate your response. I am still nervous about using ink to sketch. Putting a wash down first would help with that fear, I think

Pollard pruning is a traditionally European style. It is a way of controlling the overall size of the tree, useful in crowded cities.

I love the green Sailor Fude. Sadly I couldn’t find one here in Australia so I had to get a brown one. Of course, I also had to get samples of brown inks to match!
