the only positives from this are getting to see the other two logos forms, hearing malos say the dialogue from the mythra bed scene and bisexual nia being much harder to argue against

also there are now four versions of xc3, one for each permutation of 2, and the dlc pass is a different eshop item for each one

version ontos releases a year later, letting you choose aegis in and mc at the start, with some exclusive blades from each version, and also including torna and all the qol updates the real game got over a year (the original versions don’t get updated)

morag’s uniform is red now

if they are the same gender there will be zero romantic coding between the mc and aegis

only two versions of the script, romantic and platonic, exist. there is very little difference between romantic malos and romantic mythra, and antag mythra acts the same as real xc2 malos

you now have the choice between rex and a female mc named regina (the one you don’t choose is an npc in fonsett)

if your protagonist is the opposite gender of your aegis the plot and character development will be largely the same as the original

i have created the worst xenoblade 2 known to man:

there are two versions: version choice just determines which aegis takes the protagonist and antagonist role in the story, a few rare blade slots, sidequests and the color of morag’s uniform

yes i know i skipped half of them but character limits exist and i’m not explaining what honest to god david bowie is doing in xenosaga, you’ll have to find that out for yourself

‪at the end of the day though the title that’s won the most at the game awards is no longer one that’s ashamed of being a video game and that I think is an unequivocal W for all of us‬

‪FFVII Remakes calling a completely different mechanic ATB is one thing, that’s a callback in a game that’s trying to be modern and distinct from the original, I just don’t get how people making games that are TRYING to be nostalgic don’t think of using the battle system of FFVII‬

it’s not obvious because the immediate clear inspiration is FF12, but Xenoblade 1 is just as inspired by Oblivion and the style of MMO ushered in by WoW as its domestic contemporaries

I’m pretty sure there’s a dev statement that outright says X was inspired by Mass Effect too
