I finally got him to chill in the living room!!! It's taken a long time, but he's starting to relax and stay still! His favorite place is still my bedroom, thats where his cage is and its the calmest room in the house. Ive missed hanging out in the living room😭

I post a lot about Kuzco and never about my budgies, here's a Helios, Hellebore, Dandelion, and Delphinium appreciation post💜 Dandy and Delphi are a lot younger and arent fans of the phone so it's mostly Heli and Helle😅

New addition to Ku's cage! @samzikei.bsky.social 's piece looks great in there🥰 I also found a cute thick blanket to help keep the cold out for the season, that far wall gets soooo damn cold since theres nothing on the other side. I'm thinking of getting him a heating pad, I need to do more research

Ku bedtime🥹 He gets scratches for a while in his cage then snuggles in bed all ready for me to cover him. Its getting colder so I need to get him more blankets, my apartment doesnt do so great in the winter😔

Ku is obsessed with this sweatshirt! He has been trying to nest on my tummy, pulling the sweatshirt strings and at the images, so cuuute! He also preens while sitting on me all of the time now, we've come such a long way🥹

Ku's cage seems to be an ever changing being at this point😅 I'm constantly adding/taking out things to see what he likes. He liked the pumpkin bed, but as an out of cage bed. This one seems to be a success though! Added a larger wooden perch for the door, he likes it!

We had a stressful moment earlier, he got out of the bedroom and was flying around the apartment. He is definitely not ready for that yet, and neither am I😅 I want him to be mostly bonded and listen to commands before going out, luckily he let me scoop him up easily and get him back in the room!

Ku and I have had so much progress this past week! Play time has turned into pet time, he is longer territorial, and he asks for my attention a lot now! Now it's time to focus on training, I want him to at least know how to come to me before introducing him to the rest of the apartment/pets.

I just found this old picture of Tetra and Rixis, and I had forgotten how much they loved each other. Rixis loved EVERYONE, though. That little bird had the biggest heart. Rixis died about 5 years ago now, Tetra 8 months ago. Ugh sorry for the sad stuff, I'm missing them a lot rn

His balance is kinda crazy, I have no idea how he isn't falling with how much I make the computer wobble! Lots of work to do today, he enjoyed perching here the entire time😆
