Honestly that's what I suspected, but that was based solely on one line from a threadfic @/cerbykerby wrote over on 🐦, where wwx is a mermaid and lwj is a researcher and nhs asks the latter, loudly, if he "fucked the fish." 😂 So I couldn't be sure.
