A guy who's done a whole bunch of stuff but is too self-conscious to mention it in his bluesky profile.

Currently working on @mayormayknott.bsky.social
his "The Horns OST" also fits the bill:

...also, you should play The Horns

how does it compare to Doki Doki Literature Club?

I follow @indiedevbot.bsky.social , and my bsky went from wall-to-wall ragebait, to wall-to-wall indie games, ranging from cool new things I hadn't seen before to heartwarming posts by indies just starting out.

I recommend doing that! And then you'll also find a bunch of indies to follow directly.

I keep coming back to it again and again and again over the years. It's such a wonderful aesthetic and inspiration.

yeah, I've lost count of how many of those I have...

let me know if you want someone to do some programming, but without you telling me anything about what you're making. Sounds like a fun challenge!

I assumed it was just a plot point that didn't have anything to do with what you did.

I feel like at some point I played a game that had something like that, and I just quit at that point. But I can't remember what the game was.

I just got one (let Konrad shoot you) and called it good.

The story was great, and I enjoyed that the plot was a retelling of Heart of Darkness / Apocalypse Now. I loved the twist ending that recontextualizes everything, 6th-Sense-style.

thanks for the reminder!

Spec Ops: The Line. It was surprisingly good, and INSANELY detailed, in terms of absolutely everything: models, systems, etc.

I kept stopping to look at one-off things in random corners and thinking "someone modelled that thing 99% of players won't see".

I'd honestly call this a quadruple-A game.

I have some terrible news for you. This works really well (I used it for train tracks in @mayormayknott.bsky.social ), and it's free:

Such a precious little guy.
My headcanon is that he's Dredge's son, and they have a healthy, loving family dynamic.
