i think it helps to realize most really opinionated people online aren't very well versed in what they're opinionated about and just throw their anger at the easiest target they can think of rather than doing something productive

it's literally either capitulate or face fines and lawsuits they aren't equipped to handle. if people want to gripe, gripe at the people infringing, not the companies forced to bend the knee. saying as someone directly affected and has to log on a vpn

my vision would be: on a plot's anniversary or during a relevant season, announce a rerun lasting 2-4 weeks where you can replay a plot. bd elements included, and maybe theres a unique prize shop every time and you can use points to buy the avatar/s

i have the exclusive Tale of Woe avatar but i wouldn't feel any kind of way about more people getting it so long as the method to obtain it was reasonable.
some people argue for a capsule or a wheel and to me that is the worst possible solution. unretire avatars with care, not just a giveaway

that are only available maybe once every few years each would be cool. i would certainly love to play old plots i missed! i know a lot of others would too. and ofc some things would have to change in a post-flash era but, again, it would give the team experience

and solve the retired avatar problem that plagues a competitive aspect of the site.

i don't really like just Free rereleases or anything whatever else because at its core neopets is a game and the competitive aspect is important and i think having plot reruns you have to finish to get avatars for-

but so many people complaining about these things dont even interact with the more complicated aspects of the site and just want to nag on TVW which in the grand scheme of things is just. an event TNT is clearly experimenting with and making tons of mistakes on because they got too ambitious

and i'm tired of people assuming running any defense for the team is excusing everything when theres plenty of actual p2w to complain about, but vapid shit like plot points or "buy this to speed up that" just. dont buy it? at least its not p2w avatars and stamps like some of us deal with

but i'm genuinely amazed by how openly furious people are allowing themselves to get over a game they can stop playing at any time. ive quit neo like. 4 times or something. you can just walk away. its alright. i'm sick of reading the same things day after day from miserable people wheres the fun

anyway all that to say, tvw is extremely far from perfect and i have my hangups with it, and accidentally logging onto my side account on a non adblocking browser clued me into how abysmal neo is right now to non internet savvy players who cant seem to understand adblock (which is wild to me fr)

a lot of people are intimidated off of social forums like this due to the hostility and cliquishness, but regardless its funny seeing people act like everyone is in agreement with THEIR opinion which is the CORRECT one and that they have a righteous high ground or whatever
