Updated data from NIH Reporter on awards to Yale during the month of February. It's an improvement from the prior information, but still at ~40% last year on a per $ basis. Still only non-competitive renewals and no GM grants. Last year 11/61 were new. BUT - it is reassuring info for active grants.

Good news is Reporter is “working”. Bad news is that it is reporting no new NoAs to my institution since 2/20. I was really really hoping for a glimmer of hope. That is only 10 grants paid in the entire month of February. Maybe more not yet reported. But dwindling hope for that...

Although a smaller sample size, NIH awards looks even more distressing at my institution. Not a single new grant - on non-competitive renewals. Not a single NIGMS grant.
