Why is ‘Self conscious’ negative? Sure being conscious of your self should be a positive thing?

I repaired as best I could, he cried, I apologised and told him we are all different and he’s perfect just as he is. I also said it’s ok and normal to compare and worry about your body but that we need to love ourselves as we are. Did I fuck him up forever?!

Haha maybe this is why I was addicted to Super Nanny growing up!
