This pic by John Blanche, used for some GW product covers, left an early impression on me. No wonder I tend to lean towards the "warrior skeleton" over "silly skeleton", even if the latter trope offers a lot of fun possibilities!

One of my fave time travel examples in fiction is "It's About Time", S2E20 of MLP:FiM, where Twilight Sparkle meets herself from the future (next Tuesday to be exact). Hilarity, and stable time loops, ensue.

#3: Astraterra. A Finnish sort-of steampunkish SF-fantasy RPG, with an emphasis on exploration and discovery. Aimed at younger players, but with plenty enough complexity and depth for adults, too. Made by @miskafredman.bsky.social and @ironspinepress.bsky.social !

#2: The One Ring, 1e. A great game for adventures in the Middle-earth. It's got a stronger Tolkien feel than MERP did back in the day, thanks to things like the Hope and Shadow mechanics, and the writing and illustrations are very atmospheric.

#1: RuneQuest 3e, Finnish translation. I played this in the early nineties with my friends, who patiently photocopied the books from the local library. This boxed set I acquired much later!
