it's interesting that some of the biggest fans of fiction/gaming that violates physical laws- fantasy, some sci-fi and such, are those who immerse themselves in the immutability of these laws on a full-on basis: engineers and scientists

love that gaming thing where you spend hours slogging through contrived and ridiculous situations to get some mcguffin and then omniscient and omnipresent bad guys just circumvent all that and take it from your character barely moments after it is attained, no matter where

It's amazing how Amazon seems to have contrived the customer review process so that seemingly every video game is rated between 4 & 5 stars (books seem to fall between similar margins too). There's a noticeably wide disparity between #opencritic & #metacritic on one hand and amazon on the other
