40s & ADHD here too, been struggling so hard to learn Spanish. I know some French, German, & Italian; it occurs to me after catching this post: learned those as I was singing them in opera (need to know the meaning to evoke it on the stage). Unconventional learning! Whatever it takes, you do you! 😍
