And as others have mentioned in the proposal, there is a certain level of "magic" being introduced wrt variable declaration.

As a developer, removing repetitive and "redundant" code would boost my productivity. Not to mention, the code would end up looking a lot more elegant.

After having reviewed thousands of LOC, the way Go deals with errors is a big plus point for me. Assuming that functions and methods will just work without errors/exceptions is the fastest way to a crashing server
