When there’s anything about a new Avatar anything coming out, I’m repeatedly surprised that anyone remembers the first one, let alone making anything new, let alone care about it.

Absolute baller. I’ve already shown my kids multiple shots.

Reminded me of when Cro Cop got brutalized in his UFC debut.

Are you threading these? I use them to show my daughter where to hit/knee if she ever needs to. And she can trust her instincts. She’ll be right.

That’s what the money’s for, Mauro.

Bringing up Gunn/Butterbean is perfect. Because it would have been the same result if it wasn’t a work.
Lots of ways to work a fight. And one of them is, “keep this can up till the 6th, then break his jaw in two.”
Honestly it’s a classic. Glad to see it getting brought around for a new generation.

Well sure, if you’re going to go by the rule book; sure technically and narrowly, not allowed. But, what do we know if they were fighting under Duchess of Queensbury rules?

I refuse to watch worked sports, so I didn’t watch the fight. But the knockout that came across my timeline, tap it right into my veins.

I mean, thinking too deeply about the lore and one man’s St. Nick is another’s Robot Santa.

We just told the kids about the tradition of Christmas related horror movies, and they were aghast that someone would blaspheme the bearded one.

If he was a professional wrestler than he would work at a professional wrestling company, and not a racist one that traffics women, children, and men.

It’s two very different businesses.

This is the discourse I come to this site for.

On the SoCal Indy scene at the time, Blitzkrieg was a God back then.

So many artists are gutter humans, it feels like a more interesting discourse is why I can look past this person’s terribleness, but this other one I cannot.
But that’s more about us learning or sharing about ourselves, rather than why we do or don’t like the cute conversation gimmick he does.

Oh man, is Oregonians LOVE Oregon and LOVE talking to other Oregonians about it. But don’t want anyone else to come here.

This is so good. You just can’t explain it to someone who isn’t in it. It’s just so hard to explain the reality of the Fed and the business prior to AEW.

The execs who signed AWA on back in the day were also immediately unhappy with the contract. But, as long as Verne was pumping out the right amount of episodes on time, they had to pay him.
I think there was one episode that was just a Control Center for a tournament that never existed or happened

And they aired GWF later on, without any mention of it being a work or anything. I caught GWF in the summer as a kid and couldn’t believe there was a daily wrestling show on ESPN.

My wife and I are constantly yelling at people who do the coffee grinder. 30 whole seconds takes up so much time, it’s a sucker move.

I worked in SoCal Indy’s in the early 2000s. He was a dick backstage then, same attitude; that he was better than everyone and was already the greatest ever.

I never liked his work, it’s always seemed so forced to me. Like he’s playing a game. Even back then.
