Finally met her myself a few weeks ago in my local record store. Such a wonderful human being. Been waiting 37 years to see her live and then two opportunities came up at once. 😁

And hopefully we'll be back at some point next year... but it may just be 2027 before London sees us again, and that's mostly because I finally got to the Horniman to see their massively over-stuffed walrus and that entire wing was shut until then.

So, long story short: London folk, if you wanna see us, come visit Manchester if you can. We have a spare room if all else fails, and you can marvel at how a 4 bed semi-detached house in North Manchester costs less than a one bedroom flat down your way now.

This time round we had a hotel in Lewisham becuase it was at least £200 cheaper than anywhere in Central London for the same quality of room. And I think that'll be how we have to do it in the future, too.

But it has made me realise the likelihood of us being in London for longer than a night now for extra special events is so slim, due to the sheer cost of staying London now compared to even a couple of years ago.
