Ffs, children are people too and have as much right to be scanning the shopping as you do. Grow a little patience for other humans who may not be exactly the same as you, or have the same motivation for being there - the young, the elderly, the less able.

I was in a similar place. I had tried lots of talking therapy, then was offered the opportunity to try EMDR. I now know that I was being retraumatised with talking approach, but EMDR is very different and has been life changing for me, in ways I couldn’t have imagined possible. Big recommend!
