This is just not true, where did you get this from? Current techniques for training don't account for "I don't know" answers, but often you can prompt them to use it. A change in how training is done would fix it.

They aren't dumb if you know how to use them correctly. I'm here to help with that, vehemently hating on a new technology and dismissing it entirely is how we get left behind.

It's wild that the progressives who I am most strongly aligned with seem to lose all sense of logic or reason when it comes to AI without a shred of self awareness about it.

So focus on what they're doing, not the entire concept of the technology. Be mad at them rather than just dunking on AI being dumb.
