This week had me exploring some classic Louisiana swamp blues. Lightnin' Slim was amazing. Lazy Lester was really good. Slim Harpo wasn't as much my thing, but hearing the original "Rainin' In My Heart," a song I grew up on, was so great.

It doesn't often feel like it, but it is fall, which is a great time to listen to all of the Cure's albums. "The Top" is pretty forgettable, and it turns out we were all right about "Wild Mood Swings" being awful when it came out. Otherwise they're simply perfect.

I've been listening to @fightful.com's recap show after Forbidden Door, and people are arguing over whether or not the tag title match was ever actually announced as an elimination match. A rather mellow vibe to this week's top albums, which makes sense, since it was a really stressful week.
A mix of old favorites for comfort (Bach, Pat the Bunny, Cloud Cult, Harvestman), and some new to me titles (the new Catharsis, The Crane Wives, Wind in His Hair). I've noticed lately how Harvestman's "In a Dark Tongue" has become one of my absolute favorite albums.

Shockingly, I listened to a lot of Ozzy and Sabbath this week. Not pictured are Bell Witch's "Mirror Reaper" and "Future’s Shadow, Part 1: The Clandestine Gate" and Steve Roach's "Long Thoughts" because this is ranked by tracks played, and those are 1 track albums.
